Member of Nasir gang arrested

Delhi Police have arrested a gangster accused in a double murder case registered with the police station in Zafarabad. The accused also carried a cash reward of Rs 50,000 on his arrest.

The accused identified as Adil (34) is the brother and gang member of Nasir gang and has been on run for about a year now, after he along with his three associates killed two members of a rival gang and injured three other members of the same gang in Zafarabad. The accused is registered in one other case of murder dating back to the year 2012.

Nasir's gang had an ongoing rivalry with another gang in the area named Chhenu gang. The rivalry between the gangs prompted Adil and his few other associates namely Nadir, Badar, Hashim Baba, Rashid Cable wala, Mohd Yusuf and Salman to open fire on five members of the Chhenu gang. During the firing, two members of Chhenu gang were killed and three others were left with major injuries.

Since, then Adil had been on run and was living in different parts of Uttar Pradesh, during this year-long run. Adil got married during this year which later proved to be the cause of his arrest. Police examined the activities of his wife and when Adil came to meet her, he was nabbed.
