The last day of the MCD polls campaign on Friday had the city buzzing with party leaders addressing people in every nook and corner through loudspeakers attached to electric rickshaws, cars, and trucks. Every neighbourhood, streets and public places were strewn with pamphlets and posters of the candidates in the fray.

Targeting the BJP, AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called it a party of 'dengue and chikungunya'. "In future, if your child suffers from dengue, you will be responsible for it because you voted for the BJP," the Delhi CM said.

Reacting to Kejriwal's remark, BJP national spokesperson Nalin Kohli said: "Kejriwal is now giving dengue threats to Delhiites because he knows the people of Delhi are against him. If he has any moral fibre, he will resign."

Kejriwal also alleged that both the BJP and the Congress were "sabotaging essential services" to create dissatisfaction against the AAP government. "Workers of the BJP and the Congress are stealing oil from transformers to disrupt electricity supply in parts of the city. They will continue doing that until Sunday to provoke Delhiites against AAP," he alleged.

Local BJP leaders made mention of AAP's internal survey which had predicted a massive victory for the party. Delhi BJP spokesperson Tajinder Pal Bagga said: "If AAP wins as many seats as its internal survey claims, Kejriwal would already have put up copies of it across the city."

Meanwhile, AAP fielded all its senior leaders for one last time ahead of the civic polls. While Kejriwal took out a roadshow in south Delhi's Kalkaji, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia held a padayatra in east Delhi's Patparganj, his own constituency. Other party leaders like Kapil Mishra and Sanjay Singh also took to the streets in their respective constituencies.

At the same time, Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari covered areas from northwest Delhi's Burari to south Delhi's Mehrauli.

Tiwari addressed public meetings at Burari and Majnu Ka Tila, followed by roadshows at Badli and Patparganj. He then concluded his 'Vijay Vikas Yatra' — his maiden campaign in Mehrauli.

Congress leaders also addressed several public meetings and organised roadshows to woo the voters. Ajay Maken, Delhi Congress President, took part in several election campaigns, including four wards in east Delhi and at outer Delhi's Narela. "The Congress candidates will win with huge margins, and will rule all the three MCDs," Maken said.
