The mother of the recently sacked AAP minister Kapil Mishra has recently attacked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. In her letter, the senior Mishra, who is also a former mayor of Delhi, claimed the picture was clicked at an event to felicitate AAP leader Kumar Vishwas' father and was attended by Kejriwal and all his ministers as well. She further mentioned that Kejriwal himself had approached her to convince Mishra to join politics despite him not being interested.

Mishra's mother also alleged in the letter that she was the one who had organized the mohalla sabha in 2007. She reminded Kejriwal that he had attended it and it was even mentioned in his book Swaraj. "You had said that when the AAP MLAs had their first meeting at the Constitution Club after winning 28 seats, they were shown a video of a mohalla sabha organized by me," she said.

Following such allegations against her son, Mishra's mother has described the CM's movement against corruption as "fake." Addressing a press conference, she said, "Today my son is being accused of being an agent of BJP. I never thought Arvind Kejriwal would behave in such a manner. I asked Kejriwal to speak out on the issue related to the alleged tanker scam. Anyway, my son was never interested in joining AAP and it was Kejriwal who wanted Kapil to join AAP."
