Two men were injured after they fell from an under-construction building following a scuffle over Rs 100 while drinking in South-East Delhi's Okhla Industrial Area on Saturday.

According to the police, three persons identified as Sunil, Pramod and their uncle Hareram, all labourers working at the construction site and native of Madhya Pradesh, were drinking when the incident took place.

"Sunil told police that after the drinking session, the uncle was going to use the washroom when Pramod asked him for Rs 100 to buy more alcohol. An argument broke out between them as the uncle refused to give money. During the scuffle, both of them fell to the basement from the ground floor," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Chinmoy Biswal.

The police said that there were iron sheets lying around and both of them sustained injuries but Hareram got severely injured while Pramod fled from the spot.

"Sunil took his uncle to AIIMS where he is undergoing treatment. Hareram is unconscious but is out of danger. The police have registered a case under section 308 (Attempt to commit culpable homicide) of the Indian Penal Code and are looking for Pramod," said Biswal.
