Five passengers were found unconscious on the Tilak Bridge passenger train coming from Sadulpur in Rajasthan. They were rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for suspected poisoning.

"We received five passengers in a drowsy state early on Monday morning. It looked like they had been given some kind of drug in the train. We took them into casualty and now they are stable," said Doctor AK Mehta, Medical Superintendent, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.

Doctors performed a procedure called Gastric Lavage on the patients. Gastric Lavage, also known as stomach pumping, involves cleaning out of the contents of the stomach so that the poison does not get absorbed by the body.

After a few hours of observation, the patients have now been shifted to the Medical Emergency ward and are now stable.
