20-year-old Delhi University student raped in Faridabad, five arrested

Delhi Police on Saturday arrested all five accused for allegedly raping a 20-year-old Delhi University student in southeast Delhi. The incident took place earlier this month in Faridabad where the girl had gone to attend a party.

Senior police officers said the three accused belong to the same college where the victim studies. While three of them were arrested earlier, the remaining two were absconding and were arrested on Saturday. She complained to the sexual harassment committee of her college after which an FIR was registered.

"The accused invited the victim on pretext of a party and sexually assaulted her. When she raised an alarm, they took turns and raped her," said a senior police officer.
