Delhi Police bust drug cartel, three arrested

According to the officials, the police had received a tip-off about some people being involved in the supply of drugs/ganja in central Delhi.

The Delhi Police have busted a drug cartel and recovered a huge amount of drugs along with a country-made pistol and two live cartridges from the possession of arrested criminals on Saturday.

According to the officials, the police had received a tip-off about some people being involved in the supply of drugs/ganja in central Delhi. Three people — Mukesh, Mohd Gulfam, and Abhishek Shrivastav have been arrested.

During interrogation, accused Abhishek Shrivastav, also known as Badshah, revealed that he had pursued BSc and has been staying in the capital for the last eight years. "He used to stay at the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara since then and in the due course of time, he met with some criminal type persons and got addicted of ganja. A group of 12-15 people was involved in criminal activities. He further revealed that being educated, he used to manage the manpower for criminal activities and also brought Ganjha for the gang members from accused Mohd. Gulfam," said a senior police official.

A case under FIR No 86/18 U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered and further investigation is going on.
