There were seven boys in all, who had jumped into the river for a bath. All of them are from Haryana and had come to Delhi for a picnic.

Four minor boys drowned in the Yamuna in outer Delhi's Alipur area on Sunday morning. The children were aged between 12 and 14 years.
There were seven boys in all, who had jumped into the river for a bath. All of them are from Haryana and had come to Delhi for a picnic. One of the three boys, who swam to safety, made a PCR call at 7.30 am to the police on seeing his friends drown.
The boy told the cops that they had first planned to take a bath in the part of the river that was near their house around 6 am, but when they saw the fast current, they decided to walk down to the side of the river.
The boy said that they are all friends and live in the same locality. They jumped into the river together, but when they couldn't spot four of their friends, the three rushed out, called out for help and alerted the police.
Almost an hour after receiving the call, rescue teams pulled out bodies of two of the four boys. They were identified as Ankit (13) and Lalit (13).
The rescue operation for the other two was still on at the time of going to press. The boys were identified as Aditya (14) and Nitin (12). Ankit and Aditya are brothers.
