A photograph of a Delhi police officer sitting on a chair in his uniform with a godwoman keeping her hands on his head has gone viral on social media on Monday. The station house officer (SHO) of Janakpuri police station was then moved to another police station on Monday.

The picture shows Delhi Police inspector Inderpal Singh sitting with the godwoman in his uniform. According to the sources, the godwoman claims to relieve stress by helping people meditate and the police officer was practicing the same. Deputy commissioner of police (west) Vijay Kumar confirmed the incident and said, "He has been sent to district lines and the matter is being enquired, adding that it was not proper for him to go there in uniform."

A vigilance enquiry under additional deputy commissioner of police (West) has been ordered into the incident, an official said.

Inspector Sanjay Sharma, former SHO of Vivek Vihar police station in Shahdara district, was sent to district lines after a photograph of him with controversial godwoman Radhe Maa surfaced online last year.

On the other hand, two ASI suspended and eight policemen were sent to police line by Dwarka district police on Monday. A senior police official on anonymity confirmed that the policemen were found to not act against illegal liquors and drug sellers in their beat areas. The action was taken after a vigilant enquiry over complaints received in district-level committee.
