Criminals forging partnerships in the National Capital Region (NCR) have alarmed police forces of Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad prompting them to prepare a blueprint to ensure better interstate coordination. The police officials are chalking out a plan in order to swiftly exchange information about criminals and focus on combined border policing, especially at entry and exit points.

In the meeting, which was held in Noida on Tuesday, senior police officials, including the SSP Noida and SP city, Ghaziabad along with other officials of the Delhi Police, were present. The meeting was headed by IG range Meerut zone and joint commissioner of police eastern range. The meeting was held to discuss the measures to be taken to control crime at border areas and put a stop on illegal activities taking place between the two states.

"During the meeting, the first and foremost thing, which was discussed was about the exchange of information about the crime and criminals operating in the three states. We will facilitate cooperation to nab criminals carrying awards on their heads or accused of heinous crimes," said Ajay Pal Sharma, Senior Superintendent Of Police (Gautam Budh Nagar).

The three states will conduct combined policing on their borders to keep a vigil.

"Personnel from two states will be present at the border area and the security will be increased to assure that criminals do not escape easily. Entry and exit points will be covered and combined patrolling will be done," said Akash Tomar, Superintendent of Police, City (Ghaziabad).

There will be interstate verification of the criminals released from the prisons and a list of criminals involved in heinous crimes will be interchanged between the states.

"A blueprint on how to curb crime will be made soon and all the officials of all the three cities will be on their toes to make sure that crime is controlled," said Tomar.
