College student, fiance held by Delhi Police for abducting and killing stalker

A college student and her fiancé were arrested by the Delhi Police for killing a man. The woman and her fiancé had allegedly given the deceased, identified as Sushil Kumar a drink laced with sedatives after which they pushed him into the Yamuna river.

The accused confessed that Kumar had been threatening the girl, who was his former girlfriend of leaking her objectionable pictures if she did  not concede to his demands.

Following this the girl, a native of Mathura connived with her fiancé to eliminate the victim. According to a senior police official, “Sushil Kumar, the deceased had been blackmailing the girl with nude photographs, because of which she “went into depression” and started “consuming sleeping pills”. The woman had then sought the help of Manish Choudhary, her fiancé, in eliminating Kumar.

“The girl had procured sleeping pills in bulk, while Manish arranged for a hotel room in Mathura. On August 11, Sushil arrived in Mathura, hung around the city with the accused and then retired to the hotel. Sushil lost his consciousness after consuming cold drink laced with sleeping pills, the accused drove with his body to  Old Yamuna Bridge, Laxmi Nagar and threw him in the river,” said MS Randhawa, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central). 

After committing the crime, the duo left for their respective villages after disposing off their mobile phone SIM card. After the body was found, the police mounted technical surveillance on their mobile phones in the meantime, the family of Sushil Kumar told cops about his relationship with the girl.
