Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with Health Minister Satyendar Jain, made a surprise visit to the GB Pant and the Lok Nayak hospitals on Tuesday, to check the supply of medicines.

Kejriwal interacted with patients, making inquiries about the kind of problems they were facing in getting treatment. Making surprise visits to government hospitals has become a part of the CM's routine. He has earlier also visited many government hospitals and even suspended officials for not implementing the decisions taken by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

On Tuesday, the CM summoned the Director of GB Pant Hospital as some of the medicines were unavailable. "After he spoke to a few of the patients, the CM found out that some medicines were not available in the hospital. The patients were worried about the shortage. The CM immediately summoned the director to his office," a senior Delhi government official said.

At the Lok Nayal hospital, the situation was quite different, where medicines were freely available.
