According to the police, the accused have been identified as Mohd Islam (45) and Ramjani (63), who allegedly entered in one of the shanties near the Chhattarpur Metro Station where the girl lives with her family.
A 15-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by two men inside her house in a slum cluster in South Delhi's Vasant Kunj area late on Tuesday evening. Police arrested one of the accused on Thursday evening.
According to the police, the accused have been identified as Mohd Islam (45) and Ramjani (63), who allegedly entered in one of the shanties near the Chhattarpur Metro Station where the girl lives with her family.
"The incident took place on Tuesday evening while the girl's mother was out for work and her two siblings were playing in the neighbourhood. After finding the minor girl alone, Islam and Ramjani took advantage of the situation and raped her. Later, the two beat her and threatened of dire consequences if she opened her mouth. The duo fled the spot leaving her unconscious," said Milind Dumbere, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest). When the mother returned home, she found the girl lying on the floor in an unconscious state.
"The mother then rushed her to a nearby hospital where the doctors confirmed rape and then they informed the police. After gaining consciousness, the girl narrated the ordeal to her mother," Dumbere added.
Police said on the basis of a complaint filed by the girl's mother, police have registered a case under section 376D and POCSO Act at the Vasant Kunj police station.

- In another incident of rape, a 12-year-old girl was raped by two people, including a woman in Shahdara’s Anand Vihar area on Wednesday. Police said the accused have been arrested for allegedly raping the girl.
