WATCH | Champions Trophy: Team India indulge in cake fight to celebrate Dinesh Karthik's birthday

Tensions are gone when it comes to the celebrations with Team India. The Men in Blue celebrated wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik's birthday on Friday.

All the teammates, support staff had gathered to make the day special for Karthik who replaced injured Manish Pandey. He put on a great show by smashing 94 off 77 balls against Bangladesh in one of India's warm-up matches before taking on Pakistan on Saturday.

BCCI put out a video of the celebration on their Twitter handle with the caption: From cake-smearing to cake-pelting, nobody was spared at @DineshKarthik's birthday celebration. Take a look.

The team brought in a cake for Karthik. But MS Dhoni stole a crumb for tasting before the birthday boy had the opportunity. Soon the team gathered and smeared the cake on Karthik's face and body. Soon the celebrations turned into a food fight and Karthik took a revenge by targeting everyone with cake crumbs!

Karthik has made his presence felt with the innings against Bangladesh. It shall be interesting to see what he does with the opportunity if included in playing XI against Pakistan.
