Virender Sehwag was in the news during India and South Africa's second ODI on Sunday.

The former Indian opener tweeted a hilarious take on the on-field umpires' decision to take a lunch break with India needing just two runs to win.

Yuzvendra Chahal's five-wicket haul helped India bowl out the Proteas for a paltry 118 at the Supersport Park in Centurion. The visitors were cruising at 117 for 1 at the end of the 19th over when the umpires decided to call for lunch, having delayed it due to South Africa getting all-out inside 33 overs.

The decision came as a shock to the players, with captain Virat Kohli expressing his displeasure to the umpires. While legends of the game like Michael Holding and Michael Vaughan voiced their utter disappointment with the officials' archaic conduct, it was Sehwag who came up with the most eye-catchy reaction.

The Twitter superstar took to his favourite social media platform once again to put out a hilarious tweet. "Umpires treating Indian batsmen like PSU Bank treat customers. Lunch ke baad aana," wrote Viru.

Here's his tweet

Although this tweet by Sehwag was received well by most, there were a couple of Indian bankers who tweeted back at the legend voicing their displeasure at getting trolled. Viru was quick to respond to them and calmed the situation down in his usual humorous style.

"Sir....bura maan Gaya main....I alwez..alwezzzz. saw ur matches @ Mohali....nd I'm a PSU bank officer...nd have alwez treated customers to their expectations," wrote one fan. To which Sehwag responded: "Bura na maan bhai. Tu exception hai. Most Sarkaari banks , infact most sarkaari departments don’t care for the common man. The attitude is like Maai Baap , as if they are doing a favour if they do their job."

Another follower wrote, "I work in PSU bank. We never ask our customers to come after lunchtime." And Viru's response was: "You are also an exception. Apart from lunch most others also have the excuse of server kharaab, printer nahi chal raha. Unfortunately hasn’t changed in most sarkaari departments."
