Rohit was asked this question during Virat and Anushka Sharma's wedding reception in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Rohit Sharma is the man of the moment as far as India's limited-overs team is concerned. With his third double-hundred in ODIs in the recently-concluded series against Sri Lanka, Rohit has well and truly established himself at the top of the 50-over format in world cricket.
Understandably so, the 'Hitman' was a star attraction at Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's wedding reception in Mumbai on Tuesday. Rohit attended the function at The St. Regis hotel with his beautiful wife Ritika Sajdeh.
While Virat was rightly the toast of the evening, it was one particular statement by Rohit that caught attention.
Although Sandeep Patil believes that Rohit is better than Virat in limited-overs, there is little doubt in the fact that the talismanic leader is the key man as far as the Indian cricket team is concerned.
With that in mind, Virat's form will be critical for Team India's fortunes during the all-important upcoming tour of South Africa. The sub-continental giants may have had a stellar run at home over the past couple of years, but the real test lies ahead.
Will Virat be able to dominate the Proteas' famed fast-bowling attack of Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel and Kagiso Rabada? The Indian captain can showcase a volatile attitude at times - will he be able to reign it in? They say marriage brings about certain changes in a player - will Virat manage a steady head when his team needs him the most?
Rohit was asked these question during the reception on Tuesday and the Mumbaikar remained candid. "Marriage changes you completely,” he was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
Rohit, however, wasn't sure if Virat would be a changed man post his wedding to Anushka. “It is very difficult to say. I don’t know much, probably only in South Africa I can say. (laughs). It depends individually," he said.
Does Rohit expect more maturity from Virat post his wedding? “I guess so," he said. "I don’t know what it is going to be like for him, but I wish them good luck ahead because it is the most wonderful thing that can happen to an individual. I just wish them all the happiness ahead.”
On his part, Virat has admitted in the past that Anushka brought a lot of stability in his life. “I must thank the lady luck. You have seen me; you know I had no sense before," he told Gaurav Kapur in the show Breakfast With Champions recently. “Ever since the lady has come into my life, she’s taught me a lot of things. I’ve learnt a lot, become more sensible in the last 4 years all because of her. She’s taught me how to be more patient and taught me how to utilise the position you are into the fullest.”

One wonders, though, if Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the other married women present at the reception were asked whether Anushka's career will be affected post marriage.
