SunRisers Hyderabad all-rounder Vijay Shankar ties the knot with Vaishali Visweswaran

Team India all-rounder Vijay Shankar tied the knot with his fiancee Vaishali Visweswaran, his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) shared the good news. The ceremony took place, amid the constraints being enforced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

SunRisers Hyderabad took to social media to share a picture from the wedding ceremony and wrote, "Sending our best wishes to @vijay_41 on this very special day! May you have a happy and blessed married life #SRHFamily #OrangeArmy #SRH.

The cricketer had announced his engagement last year on August 20 through an Instagram post. Shankar had uploaded pictures with his fiancee, captioning it with a ring emoji. Fellow cricketers KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Karun Nair, Abhinav Mukund were among the few who congratulated the player following this announcement.

As for his cricketing career, the 30-year-old was not a part of the recently concluded Indian tour of Australia Down Under. 

Shankar had made his debut in the shortest format of the game in 2018 against Sri Lanka in Colombo. His maiden international appearance in the 50-over format came a year later against Australia in Melbourne.
