India will look to pocket the the six-match ODI series they taken on South Africa in the fourth One-day International on Saturday.

The Wanderers ODI will be played in pink jerseys to raise awareness about the breast cancer, and for the benefit of those suffering from the fatal disease.

3-0 down in the six-match series‚ the Proteas will pin their hopes on a venue and occasion which has served them well since the inception of PinkDay in 2011. Proteas have never lost a 'Pink ODI' winning all their five ODIs in played in pink.

Another good news for South Africa is that AB de Villiers will be returing to team. He returns to the team after recovering from a finger injury and though he is neither captain nor wicketkeeper, he will have to be the person to raise morale.

AB De Villiers has a good record on Pink Days. In 2015, he had smashed 149 off just 44 balls against the West Indies. In 2013, when India were first part of this Pink Day celebration, de Villiers had scored 77 off 47 balls.

South Africa had amassed 358/4 on a Wanderers' wicket full of pace and bounce, and India had lost by 141 runs.

What is Pink Day?

The hastag #PitchUpInPink will be used as rallying call to get South Africans into the spirit of the occasion.

This year it is about the massive drive to collect money for is the Breast Cancer Clinic at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital.

The goal is to raise more than R1 million‚ which will mostly come from the sale of bracelets designed by sunglass enthusiast David Tlale.

The Proteas‚ perhaps in need of being led by the wrist‚ will wear the bracelets during Saturday’s hostilities.

“For the bracelet‚ we selected a weave design which is in line with a lot of current trends in bold colours that will grasp the attention of anyone that sees you wearing it‚” Tlale said.

Naturally the Wanderers Stadium will be resplendent in pink and spectators are strongly encouraged to come decked out in the same colour in their support of breast cancer awareness.
