Australia have added new member to their test squad - and he is just 6 years old. Archie Schiller joined the team in their practice session before the first Test of the 4-match series against India.

Archie Schiller will also be part of the squad for the Boxing Day Test match that will start on December 26 at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Archie, a leg-spinner who models himself after Shane Warne, got the call from Australia head coach Justin langer when Australia were playing Pakistan in UAE. He was told of his inclusion in the Australian squad via a video call from Langer.

On Archie’s arrival at Adelaide Oval, he got his Australian jersey and trained with the side.  Archie also said that he wants to get Indian skipper Virat Kohli out.

Cricket Australia took to Twitter to share the pictures of Archie training alongside the team before the start of the first Test.

Archie suffers from a long term heart condition. When Schiller was just three months old, it was discovered that he had faulty heart valves, which led to irregular beating of the heart and further life-threatening complications if not monitored and kept in check at all times. He has already undergone thirteen surgeries in his yet short life.

When Make-A-Wish Australia learned of Archie's circumstances and aspirations they facilitated the call by Langer and then the chance to link up with the Australian squad.
