Team India squad for South Africa tour, Sri Lanka T20 series to be announced today

India’s squad for the South Africa tour will be named on Monday. The team will be announced after the end of day’s play in Delhi Test being played between India and Sri Lanka . 

The All-India Senior Selection Committee will meet in New Delhi to pick the team for the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka as well. The three T20 Internationals will be held on December 20, 22 and 24 at Cuttack, Indore and Visakhapatnam respectively.

India are expected to name a 17-member squad for the three tests to be played at Cape Town, Centurion and Johannesburg between January 5 to January 28. 

Selectors have to decide whether to go with four frontline pacers and three specialist spinners or five specialist pacers with two slow bowlers.

While Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav are automatic picks for the squad, Jasprit Bumrah may find a ticket to South Africa if India choose to go with an extra pacer.
