Eid Mubarak 2020: Shakib Al Hasan buys brand-new Mercedes-Benz as 'eidi' for wife Ummey

Bangladeshi cricketer Shakib al Hasan has presented his wife with a special gift on the special day of Eid.

The star allrounder on Saturday (August 1) gifted his wife, Ummey Shishir, a brand-new Mercedes-Benz.

Shakib and Ummey are married since December 12, 2012, and also have two daughters named Alaina and Errum.

Ummey took to Instagram and posted a couple of photographs of her brand new car and captioned her post with, "My eidi from the husband".

Devotees from across the globe celebrated Eid al-Adha by offering prayers at mosques and at their homes on Saturday.

Masjids across the globe witnessed a fair bit of footfall as the devotees were seen offering prayers while following all COVID-19 norms.

Normally, people on the occasion greet each other with hugs but this time people are wishing each other -- Eid Mubarak -- keeping in mind the importance of social distancing to combat the virus
