The Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (COA) has given a show cause notice to BCCI logistics manager Mayank Parikh on Sunday to explain why he hid information about owning cricket clubs in Mumbai while being employed with the Indian cricket board (BCCI).

This is COA's second notice to Parikh after DNA highlighted late last month how SC orders were openly flayed by allowing Parikh to continue on the payrolls of the BCCI despite owning six clubs of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

According to the insiders in BCCI, Parikh's explanation to the earlier show cause notice was that "he did tell the BCCI CEO regarding ownership of clubs in Mumbai". However, it was only after carefully checking his reply that the COA found out that "he only mentioned about owning of clubs and not been a signatory of the clubs in MCA". "Why did you hide this fact that you are signatory of the clubs in MCA, which is a direct conflict of the SC orders?" is the question thrown to Parikh. At the start of the month, CEO Rahul Johri sent an ultimatum to all the employees asking them to come clean on the conflict of interest issue "in 15 days' time".

Despite repeated attempts to contact Parikh for a reaction, DNA did not get any response.
