The Haryana government has decided to extend the benefit of the Seventh Pay Commission to non-teaching staff of privately managed government-aided colleges.

Finance Minister Abhimanyu said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has approved a proposal to give the employees revised pay as per the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, with effect from January 1, 2016.

This would benefit 1,184 employees of privately managed government-aided colleges in the state and cause an additional financial burden of Rs 45 crore on the state ex-chequer, he said.
