Homegrown e-commerce major, Flipkart's founders Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal, along with three employees have landed themselves in trouble.

According to a report published in the Times of India, a businessman had filed an FIR against both the co-founders of the company and three employees alleging that they cheated him for Rs 9.96 crore by not clearing the dues the company owed him towards 12,500 laptops he had supplied.

In his complaint lodged on November 21, the businessman had mentioned that he entered into a contract with Flipkart to supply laptops and other electronic goods. He claimed that he had supplied 14,000 laptops to the company between the time span of June 2015-June 2016 for Flipkart's Big Billion Day sale.

The businessman named Sachin Bansal, Binny Bansal, sales director Hari, accounts managers Sumit Anand and Sharauque among other employees in his complaint.

The newspaper quoting the FIR stated, "Flipkart returned 1,482 units but did not pay for the remaining units. TDS and shipping charges for those units too were not paid. When asked to clear the dues, Flipkart falsely claimed it had returned 3,901 units. By not clearing the dues, they have cheated me to the tune of Rs 9,96,21,419."

The report also mentioned that the police had filed a case under IPC sections 34 (common intent), 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating), and a probe has been going in relation to the incident.

Meanwhile, Flipkart reportedly is in talks with online ticketing firm, BookMyShow (Bigtree Entertainment Pvt. Ltd) to buy minority stake.

The move will benefit both the parties involved as it will help BookMyShow to revive its otherwise detoriating numbers. The deal is also expected to help Flipkart's payment servive, PhonePe which it acquired last year.

BookMyShow may be valued at $500-700 million if the proposed deal goes through, it said.

It is also to be noted that Network 18, owned by Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries is the single largest shareholder in BookMyShow with a 39% stake.
