Amazon's digital day sale today: Top deals you should know

Amazon India has announced Amazon Digital Day on its website. The sale has started today and will be lasted till midnight. During its 24-hour-long event, Amazon will offer interesting deals and cashbacks on all its products from Amazon Prime Music and Amazon Prime Video to Amazon Kindle and its Echo range of smart speakers.

Earlier this month, Amazon has observed Great Indian Festival sale and then soon after announced the second edition of the same. 

Under Amazon's Digital day sale buyers can avail lucrative discounts. Amazon has announced unlimited Kindle for 24 months in just Rs 2799. Customers will save Rs 1,977 on the deal. 

Kindle unlimited is available for Rs 799 for 6 months.

Besides the digital day sale will provide 30% off on all Amazon's devices including Fire Stick and Alexa. Best selling and popular e-books are on as much as 80% discount with an additional 50% cashback discount. 

Amazon has a surprise for its Amazon Prime Music subscribers in India. Amazon is offering 500 Prime members a chance to win Rs 250 as Amazon Pay balance. All users need to do is share their favourite playlist, album, or song on Facebook or Twitter to be eligible to win the amount. Apart from this, the tech giant is also adding a special Diwali party playlist along with Laxmi Puja playlist for the Digital Day celebrations.

Meanwhile, Flipkart India, the B2B arm of the e-commerce major Flipkart, has registered a manifold jump in losses at Rs 2,063.8 crore during 2017-18 compared to the previous fiscal as the Walmart-backed company fights a bruising battle against rival Amazon.

The company's total loss stood at Rs 245.04 crore in 2016-17. Its revenue from operations, however, saw a 40.4 per cent jump to Rs 21,438.65 crore in FY2017-18 from Rs 15,264.42 crore in the previous fiscal, as per regulatory documents filed with the corporate affairs ministry. Flipkart India's employee benefit expenses grew to Rs 331.54 crore in the said fiscal from Rs 166.66 crore in 2016-17, the documents provided by business intelligence platform Tofler showed. Flipkart's e-commerce business Flipkart Internet also posted a consolidate loss of Rs 1,160.6 crore for the financial year ended March 2018. While this was lower than the previous year's Rs 1,640.2 crore.The combined loss of the two Flipkart entities -- Flipkart India and Flipkart Internet -- was well over Rs 3,200 crore in FY2017-18.
