While Salman Khan's roar at the box-office with 'Tiger Zinda Hai' is talk of the town, small films like Fukrey Returns continue to make the right noises.

2017 proved content is the king at the ticket window and Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh starrer film is one such film. Fukrey boys returned with a sequel on December 8th and their film has managed to enter the 100 crore club in just two weeks of its release.

According to Mumbai Mirror, Fukrey Returns has earned Rs 101.78 crore worldwide, which includes Rs 93.02 crore on home turf and Rs 8.76 crore gross from the overseas markets.

Richa who is seen in the role of Bholi Punjaban once again is thrilled by the love for the franchise and told Mumbai daily, "The entire team is overjoyed. I feel glad for my director [Mrighdeep Singh Lamba] because he deserves all the success."

Her co-star, Ali Fazal continued, "Crossing the 100-crore mark is just a milestone for the soothsayers of Bollywood. I want to thank the entire team of Excel [the production house] and my brilliant producers Ritesh and Farhan sir for always being there for us."

No wonder, the makers of the film want to take the franchise forward. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani recently said that he and co-producer Farhan Akhtar would explore the chances of a third part if a potential story would be "funnier" than the latest instalment."There is no discussion yet about the third part. But we would surely love to take the franchise ahead but it needs to be organic and honest. It has to come from the writer and the director, not us."
