When Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi director Mudassar Aziz got hit because of Sonakshi Sinha

While it’s not unusual for a crowd to gather when a star is shooting in real locations like a marketplace, it’s rare for anyone from the film’s team to actually get hurt in the process. However, that’s what happened with Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi director Mudassar Aziz when he was shooting with Sonakshi Sinha in a popular Amritsar market. 

The scene required the actress to walk through a street lined with shops selling wedding outfits and accessories. The movie’s crew had taken all the necessary permissions and precautions, including security personnel. On the day the scene was scheduled, word quickly spread that the Dabangg actress would soon be shooting in their midst. By the time the shot was ready and Sonakshi was at her position, such a huge crowd had gathered that Mudassar felt it would be impossible to shoot. So he got his leading lady, escorted by the security bouncers, to return to her car. 

Meanwhile, the locals, armed with their mobile cameras, were clicking pictures of the actress. Many of them were not too happy with the director, who was walking alongside Sona, coming in their way. That’s when someone hit the director hard on his back with his elbow. When the two reached her car, he felt a severe pain and had to resort to ice-packs till the following day to heal the pain. 

Confirming the same, Mudassar says, “I still joke with Sonakshi that I got hurt because of her and perhaps I’m the only director to get hit because a fan couldn’t click his favourite actress’ picture.”
