After Hrs was the first to tell you that John Abraham is planning to produce and act in the Hindi remake of The Invisible Guest. After a lot of back and forth Taapsee Pannu was roped in for the role of the female lead. Initially, the film was supposed to be co-produced by John Abraham, Prernaa Arora and Sunir Kheterpal. But Prernaa opted out, after sometime. Now, we hear the project is not happening at all.

Says a trade source, “John has shelved the idea of making the film. There was a lot of disagreement on the film, right from the beginning. Now, John plans to produce another thriller next year, details of which aren’t out yet.”

But the problem was not just an internal one. Our khabri adds, “There are no takers for the film with John and Taapsee. Nobody wants to buy the film, which would mean the film, if made, can run into huge losses for John, if it doesn’t work. Also, the whole suspense and twist in the story is out so it didn’t make sense anymore.”

Meanwhile, John will be busy with the release of Parmanu in February.   Whereas Taapsee is already shooting for her next film with Diljit Dosanjh.
