Rishi Kapoor tweets Ranveer Singh will do Johar if Karni Sena tries to stop 'Padmaavat' release, deletes it later

As Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat hits the theatres today, amidst tight security in most of the theatres nationwide, the protests of Karni Sena against the film refuse to die down. While Twitterati is abuzz with reactions about the film, the controversy surrounding it has been gaining momentum as well. 

Now, looks like veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor felt like taking a jibe at the whole controversy surrounding the release of Padmaavat. Karni Sena had earlier announced that Rajput women will perform Jauhar (burn themselves alive) if the SLB film gets released. 

Rishi Kapoor recently shared a picture of Ranveer Singh with Karan Johar on his twitter account. Perhaps, taking a cue from the threats of Karni Sena saying that women will perform Jauhar if the film releases, Rishi captioned the picture writing, "Ranveer has announced that if Karni Sena tries to stop the release of Padmaavat, he will do Johar". 

Looks like he soon realised the gravity of the situation and deleted his tweet soon after. But the damage has been done already as the tweet has now gone viral. The screenshots of the said tweet are now doing the rounds on social media platforms.
