RIP Sridevi: A look at her last pictures from the wedding in Dubai

Bollywood legendary actress Sridevi’s demise has brought the nation and the film fraternity to a standstill. The actress passed away in the wee hours of February 25 in Dubai following a massive cardiac arrest. The confirmation of her death was given by her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor. She was 54. 

Sridevi was in Dubai to attend his nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding with Antara Motiwala. She flew down to Dubai with husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor while her elder daughter, Jhanvi could not join them as she was busy shooting for her debut film, Dhadak. 

In an impressive career, spanning five-decades, Sridevi ruled the commercial cinema space in the '80s and '90s like no heroine had done before. She not only impressed the audience with her work but made a mark in Bollywood for her sartorial choices. From sarees to casual airport looks, Sridevi managed to carry everything with panache. Sridevi started acting at the age of four and made her debut with M A Thirumugham's Thunaivan. She continued acting in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films but it was her career in Bollywood that made her a household name in the country. After 15-year long hiatus post-Judaai, Sridevi made a successful comeback to cinema 15 years later with Gauri Shinde's English Vinglish.
