Rannbhoomi: Varun Dhawan's 3rd project with Shashank Khaitan to release on Diwali 2020

Actor Varun Dhawan, director Shashank Khaitan, and filmmaker Karan Johar are gearing up for their third film together. After the mega success of the Dulhania series, (Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania), Shashank and Varun have taken a giant leap and are beginning the new journey of extravagance. This time around, they switch the genre from romance to action drama. However, it’s not just an epic story, but also indulges in emotions and opulence in equal measure.

Though a love story at heart, the trio’s new collaboration is, in essence, a revenge drama. Nevertheless, they promise a mega-cinematic experience. The team is vastly excited to introduce cinegoers to Rannbhoomi, their Diwali 2020 release. Karan enthuses, “Rannbhoomi is Shashank’s colossal and ambitious imagination to attempt a hat-trick with Varun and Dharma Productions.” Shashank says, “Rannbhoomi is a warrior film, which showcases love, relationships, sacrifices, revenge, and heroism. I remember, I began developing it in December 2015 and shared the idea with Varun, who got excited about it. Now, Karan has given us the wings to fly and we are excited to turn this dream into a reality.”
