It is always a whistle-worthy moment when Malaika Arora performs on an item number in a film but alas, we cannot say the same about her 'comeback' song 'Hello Hello' from 'Pataakha'.

Composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the zany number is sung by 'Beedi Jalaile' (Omkara) fame Rekha Bhardwaj and penned by Gulzar and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. And, it's unfortunate that despite having such experts on board, Vishal fails to give us the 'item number' of the year.

Malaika is as good as she was in her previous outings - Chaiyya Chaiyya, Munni Badnaam Hui and Anarkali Disco Chali. Only this time you feel bad for her because the music fails to do justice to her sexy moves.

While speaking about casting Malaika for the song, producer Ajay Kapoor had earlier said in a statement, “So when we came up with this track for Pataakha, she was the first one we thought of casting. When I approached her for the song, she was very excited and immediately agreed. We are happy to have her on board and this song is tailor-made for her.”

We totally agree with him! Malaika is in form and can still make you skip a beat with her twerks and thumkas. The lyrics capture the essence of social media frenzy as it include references to Whatsapp, late night phone calls, bad network. This could have been a perfect comeback vehicle for Malaika, who was last seen on the big screen in 2015's 'Dolly Ki Doli'. But, all it has done is perhaps provided her some momentary attention, that she anyway wasn't seeking.
