'Padmaavat' | After Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone receives a note from Amitabh Bachchan

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited magnum opus Padmaavat finally hit the theatres on January 25 and since then, the film is continuing its dream run at the box-office, having already crossed the Rs 150 crore mark. 

While Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh have earned tremendous praise for their acts in the film, it is Deepika Padukone’s eccentric performance as Rani Padmavati that has captivated one and all. Now praising Deepika’s fabulous performance in Padmaavat, Amitabh Bachchan sent a handwritten note to her. 

Sharing the note on social media, Deepika categorized Big B’s note above all awards and rewards and wrote, “There are awards...there are rewards...& then there is THIS! Thank You Baba... @amitabhbachchan.”

For the uninitiated, Big B had also sent a note to Ranveer earlier to praise him for his portrayal of barbaric ruler Alauddin Khilji. 

Featuring Deepika, Shahid and Ranveer in the lead, Padmaavat also stars Jim Sarbh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Raza Murad.
