Not 'Dragon'! Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's fantasy film officially titled 'Brahmastra'

Speculations about Ayan Mukerji's next with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been rife for quite sometime now. The movie which is touted to be a fantasy drama was rumoured to be titled Dragon for the longest time but now we have the official title of the film and it is Brahmastra. 

After announcing his collaboration with Akshay Kumar for the film on the Battle of Saragarhi titled Kesari, Karan Johar took to his Twitter account earlier in the afternoon today and shared that another movie announcement will be coming up at 5 pm. Apart from the title of the film with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, we also know that Amitabh Bachchan will be leading the cast of Brahmastra. 

While in conversation with Ranbir and Alia at the MAMI Movie Mela on October 8, Karan Johar had hinted at Amitabh Bachchan also being a part of the project and that the film won't be titled Dragon and that they'll make an official announcement soon. At the red carpet of the same event, Ayan had shared that they should begin shooting the film sometime in January or February next year.

Brahmastra, which will be a trilogy, has also locked its release date. The first film of the trilogy will hit the theatres on August 15, 2019.
