Actor Tanushree Dutta's charges of molestation against Nana Patekar were the trigger for the massive #MeToo movement in India last year, but like the other high-profile cases that emerged in its wake, this, too, has ended with a conclusion of "no evidence to prosecute". In a B Summary report that the Oshiwara police filed on Thursday in the Andheri magistrate court, the cops claimed that they have found no concrete evidence against Patekar in the case that allegedly happened 10 years ago during the shooting of their 2009 film 'Horn Ok Pleasse'.

Following the news, Dutta claimed she was not surprised and taking a dig at another #MeToo accused, Alok Nath, she said, "If rape accused Alok Nath got a clean chit and returned to movies, then surely it was not going to be difficult for Patekar to get himself or shall we say, buy himself, a clean chit to continue to bully hapless young women."

Other Accused

Some of the names embroiled were actor Alok Nath and former journalist  and minister MJ Akbar
