Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh to star in Karan Johar's period drama?

Karan Johar has been wanting to work with Kareena Kapoor Khan since 'Kal Ho Na Ho' days. She was also reportedly approached for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's role in Karan's last directorial 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' but things didn't work out. Now it looks like the director-producer might finally get to collaborate with his bestie in his next directorial, which will be a period drama set in the Mughal era. 

The untitled project is said to be a period love story that will feature a star cast of two-hero and three-heroines. Latest reports suggest that KJo has already roped in Kareena, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh for his magnum-opus. 

The role for Ranveer's younger brother is still up for grabs after Ranbir Kapoor reportedly turned it down. Varun Dhawan is being considered but, there is no confirmation yet. Along with being a love saga, the film will also tell a tale of brother-rivalry.

If a Koi Moi report is to be believed, then Kareena has been roped in to play the role of Ranveer's sister while Alia has been cast opposite Ranveer. Karan has already locked the screen play and the film is expected to go on floors April, next year. An official announcement might be made in a few weeks.
