The funeral of veteran actor Kader Khan, who passed away at the age of 81 on January 1, was held in Canada on Wednesday.
The last rites were performed in the presence of a large number of people, including his three sons, in a mosque.
Khan, who was admitted to a Canadian hospital, suffered from progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), a degenerative disease that causes loss of balance, difficulty in walking and dementia.
Noted megastar Amitabh Bachchan (Kader Khan had a major contribution as a writer towards his tag of a megastar) had confirmed the same, tweeting for his well-being and speedy recovery, but days later, later Kader Khan’s son Sarfaraz confirmed his father’s demise.
Born in Kabul, Afghanistan on October 22, Kader Khan was known for his impeccable comic timing, and his nonpareil work as an actor and a writer in several films.
He has been part of numerous blockbusters including 'Bol Radha Bol', 'Khoon Bhari Maang', 'Biwi Ho To Aisi', 'Main Khiladi Tu Anari', 'Judwaa', 'Dulhe Raja' and 'Haseena Maan Jayegi'.
Khan was last seen in 2017's 'Masti Nahi Sasti'. He was also part of films like ‘Ungli’ (2014) and ‘Tevar’ (2015) during his last phase in Bollywood.
