All the followers of Lord Krishna are drowned into the festive fervour of Janmashtami 2018. and celebrate the birth of one of the most beloved Hindu Gods. On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami the devotees of Nand Lal sing and dance and enjoy the day with utmost happiness.  

On this day, everybody remembers the various lovely things about Kanha, be it the naughty child that he was, with a peacock feather on his crown, who troubled the Gopis, stole butter, played the flute or charmed the ladies with his wit. And something that reflects the personality and character traits of Shri Krishna very well are our very own Bollywood songs. 

Hindi film industry have over the past several years produced several songs on the most intriguing characters from the Indian epic Mahabharata and has been a source of great numbers with which one can soak in the festive fervour in a much better way. 

Keeping this in mind, we bring to you 9 Hindi songs that will amp up your Janmashtami celebrations this year.

1. Kanha- Shubh Mangal Saavdhan 

Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, featuring Ayushmann Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar brings yet another song for all the Krishna lovers. The song titled Kanha is an ode to the first flush of true love and it speaks volumes about Lord Krishna's sense of true love too.

2. Yashomati Maiyya Se Bole Nandlala - Satyam Shivam Sundaram  

This song tops the popularity list and has been a favourite for years now. The song sung by Lata Mangeshkar from the film Satyam Shivam Sundaram is a soothing number. 

3. Woh Kisna Hai- Kisna 

Well, who can forhet 'Woh Kisna Hai'? A perfect fusion of classical and folk, this song has a divine touch and has been sung by Udit Narayan and Madhushree.This song makes for a powerful number this Janmashtami. It depicts the various traits of the beloved God really well. 

4. Soja Zara- Bahuubali 2

For all the classical music lovers, this song is a must listen as it has heavy classical influences. A lullaby of sorts, Madhushree's rendition adds a sense of playfulness, and the use of flute, veena and mridangam accentuate it. The lyrics are very playful as the lady threats Kanha to go to bed or she will go and complain to his mother Yashoda! 

5. Radha- Student of the Year 

For something playful and peppy listen to this song from Student Of The Year. It is one of the coolest Radha-Krishna songs, crooned by Shreya Goshal and Udit Narayan. The song is involves a juggle between fast tracks and desi beats.

6. Radha Kaise Na Jale- Lagaan

This song makes for a powerful Janmashtami song. yet again Udit Narayan, along with Asha Bhosle has created magic with their melodious voice while Gracy Singh and Aamir Khan make this song look even more beautiful on screen 

7. Chandi Ki Daal Par - Hello Brother 

This Salman Khan starrer song was a rage in the 90s. This song from the film Hello Brother was sung by Salman himself. The female part, on the other hand was crooned by Alka Yagnik. The picturisation of this song too boosts festive fervour.

8. Mohe Rang Do Laal- Bajirao Mastaani

This song is a visual treat with Deepika padukone mesmerising us by her expressions and adayein. This song based in classical form of music has Shreya Ghoshal starting the proceedings and Pandit Birju Maharaj joining in 

9. Go Govinda - Oh! My God

Go Govinda song from Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal starrer OMG perfectly sums up the modern day Janmashtami celebrations. With Sonakshi Sinha joining Prabhudheva, with her latka-jhatkas amidst the backdrop of the dahi-handi festivities, will surely get you grooving in the festive mode.
