Is Virat Kohli 'the Tanhaji of team India'? Ajay Devgn thinks so!

Ajay Devgn is currently looking forward to his much-awaited historical fiction Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, based on the life of a Maratha combatant named Subedar Tanhaji Malusare. 

Ever since its trailer was released a few weeks ago, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has been in the news and has managed to create a positive buzz around it. 

Both Ajay and Kajol, who plays his wife in the film are currently busy with the promotions and recently during a cricketing event where they went to talk about Tanhaji, Ajay and Kajol both spoke about the game of cricket and Indian Skipper Virat Kohli. 

Speaking about Virat, Ajay said, "Virat Kohli is the Tanhaji of team India. He is confident, aggressive and wants to win at any cost." 

He further shared snippets from the time he played cricket and said, "I was a batsman. When it comes to memories, there are plenty - My finger had chipped when I tried to catch the ball, it is still twisted." 

The film is based on the life of legendary Tanhaji Malusare and is an Indian biographical period drama based on a historic day, February 14, 1670: The surgical strike that shook the Mughal Empire. 

Directed by Om Raut. the film is all set to lock horns with Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak on January 10, 2020. 

The film also features Saif Ali Khan as Uday Bhan and Sharad Kelkar as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It also stars Kajol as Tanaji's wife, Savitribai Malusare.

Both Ajay and Kajol were last seen together in 'Toonpur Ka Superhero' which released in 2010, one of the many reasons why audiences are keen on their collaboration after 10 years.
