'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi' trailer: Sonakshi Sinha and Diana Penty come together in a whirlwind of chaos in China

The official trailer of Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, starring Sonakshi Sinha, Diana Penty, Jimmy Sheirgill, Jassie Gill and Piyush Mishra has been released by the makers. The movie is a sequel to the 2016 hit, Happy Bhag Jayegi, both of which have been directed by Mudassar Aziz. This time, instead of Lahore, a major part of the film takes place in China. The trailer shows Sonakshi being abducted by Chinese goons. She continually tries to tell them (and others in the film) that she isn’t the Happy they’re looking for, referring to Diana’s character from the previous film.

The trailer depicts all the confusion that the first installment came to be known for, with Jimmy Sheirgill and Piyush Mishra reprising their roles. We start off with Chinese goons, then there’s a wedding, some Chinese-Hindi translation thrown in for good measure and a lot of cases of mistaken identity.

Sonakshi Sinha seems like she’s on strong ground here with her comic turn, and we can’t be happier that Jimmy Sheirgill’s character finally found someone to marry. The trailer also teases a probable love triangle between Sonakshi, Jimmy and Jassie's characters.

However, Diana Penty doesn’t really have much to say, and we do miss Abhay Deol who was a treat to watch in the first film. However, it looks like the movie might be off to a good start and will hopefully surpass the success of the first.
