From one bhai to another!

After Hrs was the first to tell you that the makers of Happy Bhaag Jayegi wanted Ayushmann Khurrana to play one of the leading men in the film’s sequel. But the actor had to decline the offer, citing date issues. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha, Diana Penty in lead roles and has already gone on floors last month.

Now, we hear that the director and producers have got Ayushmann’s brother on board. Says a source, “Aparshakti is doing the Happy Bhaag Jayegi sequel now. He is doing the bhajan based reality show Om Shanti Om as well, so he has worked his dates out in a way that he can shoot Happy Bhaag Jayegi Returns without causing any delay.”

Although the role went from one bhai to another, Ayushmann had no role to play in this. Adds our source, “It wasn’t an instant call. But everyone was keen on Ayushmann. And Aparshakti also brings the same energy to the character. So they 

offered him the role. Ayushmann didn’t refer his brother at all. It was a call that the producers took themselves. Aparshakti will soon begin shooting his portions for the comedy film.” Apart from this, Aparshakti also has Leena Yadav’s Rajma Chawal alongside Rishi Kapoor.
