Salman Khan's Midas touch failed at the box office this Eid. Yes, the superstar who has been delivering a blockbuster at the box office year after year to mark the festivities of Eid has lost his golden touch this time around. Salman's latest released Tubelight has been panned by critics and audience alike and by the looks of it Salman Khan fans better known as 'bhaitards' and 'salman maniacs' are also not able to save it at the box office. Unlike Kabir Khan and Salman's last two hits, Ek tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan which entered the 100 crore club over the first weekend, Tubelight is no where close to making such record. The film has only managed to collect 64.77 crores on the first three days of its release.

That's not all, Tubelight's collections are the lowest for any Salman Khan release on Eid in the last 6 years.

Tubelight is an official remake of Hollywood film, Little Boy and stars Salman Khan and Sohail Khan in the lead. Based in the backdrop of Indo-Chinese war, the film revolves around Salman's belief that his brother would return from the war. Film also star Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu and Om Puri on the lead. And in yet another Kabir Khan attempt to tone down Salman Khan's superstar status at the movies, Tubelight Salman Khan has no romantic interest in the film too.

But the year 2017 doesn't end here, Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif are reuniting for Tiger Zinda Hai which will release in December 2017
