Father's day celebrations are not over until you have met Bollywood's coolest Dad. As Farhan Akhtar's initiative MARD has a relevant point to make, with a short film based on the relationship of Vidya Balan and her her father, PR Balan. The 5 minute film talks about the father of two girls, who never wanted a son and raised them with love and support. The film discusses crucial moments in Vidya's life and how her father has always been the strongest pillar of support. Kahaani star discussed her family's reaction to her career choice and said, 'He but not once told me that this is not something you should not want to do.I am sure he had his fears but he never discouraged me."
The Dirty Picture was a life changing film in her career, and she remembers how her father backed her in this bold choice. She arranged a preview of the film even before it released to get for her parents even before the film released. Vidya and her father proudly shared the moment, how he clapped after watching the film and didn't find anything awkward about it. Vidya said, " That vote of confidence was priceless."
PR Balan makes a valid point by saying " Young girls should accept themselves equal to boys and not accept discrimination as part of life." No wonder the actress wishes every girl has a father like her Appa.
