All set to make his Bollywood debut in Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri, Mohit Raina appears ready for the film industry, but not many know that he would have rather made his debut back in 2008, that too alongside Mithun Chakraborty.

Titled Don Muthu Swami, the movie was going to feature Mohit in one of the pivotal roles, but unfortunately that film never released, making Uri his debut Bollywood film.

When asked Mohit about the project, appearing a little upset over the development on his debut film, he answered, “Yeah, unfortunately that project didn’t see the light of the day.”

When probed further about working with Mithun Chakraborty, he mentioned, “He (Mithun da) is a great senior actor who used to cook a lot and bring us food. I had a great experience (working) with him.”

Mithun is currently getting treated in Los Angeles for his chronic back pain which first arose when he had to shoot an action sequence for the movie ‘Luck’ starring Imran Khan, Shruti Haasan and Sanjay Dutt in the lead. The actor was expected to jump from a flying helicopter but the stunt went wrong and Mithun’s back endured the pain since then.

He got himself treated in 2016 for the same ailment as well, and he had also resigned from Rajya Sabha citing the very same reason.

Getting treatment in LA right now, Mithun has his son Mahaakshay and daughter-in-law Madalsa Sharma by his side.

When we asked Mohit if he’s in touch with Mithun even now, the actor denied it by saying, “No I am not completely in contact with him, but I keep on meeting his son frequently.”
