'Dostana 2': Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya's film to kickstart in North India

Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor are all set to team up for the first time in Dostana 2. The sequel which is happening 11 years after the release of the first instalment also marks the Bollywood debut of Lakshya, who has been a popular television actor. In the film, reports have it, Kartik and Janhvi are not romantically paired opposite each other but play the role of siblings. However, they are likely to fall in love with Lakshya's character in the film.

Now as per reports in Mumbai Mirror, Dostana 2 is set to go on floors in the month of November this year and will be shot across North India. The first schedule of the film will be 22 days long and will be shot in Chandigarh and Patiala among several other places in the North. Moreover, they also have an international schedule which will happen later.

Talking about it, a source told the tabloid, "Kartik and Janhvi sport avatars that are a departure from everything one has seen on screen so far. Filming is slated to start in the first week of November."

While Janhvi had recently said, "I’m excited about Dostana 2 because it’s a very funny script. If you talk about path-breaking films, I feel this story will be like that."

Unlike the first part which was directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Dostana 2 will be helmed by debutant Collin D’Cunha. The film will be co-produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions.
