Director Siva who is currently basking in the glory of mega-blockbuster Viswasam, has been signed to helm Suriya's next untitled film. The project will be bankrolled by Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, who is known for producing Sillunu Oru Kadhal, Singam, Masss, Singam 3 and Thaanaa Serndha Koottam with Suriya.

Suriya is currently busy shooting the final portions of director KV Anand's Kaappaan, which is being produced by 2.0 makers Lyca Productions. In April, he is expected to start shooting for director Sudha Kongara's next project. Sudha made a head-turning debut with Madhavan, Ritika Singh's Irudhi Suttru, and Suriya's home banner 2D Entertainer is producing the film. Suriya will sport a suave look, similar to the one he was last seen in Ghajini's Sanjay Ramasamy character.

The film is based on the life of the entrepreneur and founder of Air Deccan GR Gopinath, who made flying economical and easier for people by launching a budget airline. The film's music is being composed by GV Prakash and the shooting is expected to kickstart towards the end of April or early May after everything is finalized.

Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment is also co-producing the film alongside Suriya's 2D Entertainment. The project marks Sikhya's foray into Tamil cinema. While the female lead is yet to be finalized for the film, Suriya's new collaboration with director Siva has grabbed the headlines now.
