There were various reports stating that there was an IT probe against actor Diljit Dosanjh
Punjabi and Bollywood actor Diljit Dosanjh has shared proof of his Indian nationality. He posted a photo of a certificate by the Income Tax department, praising him for his 'contributions'. The tweets come at a time when reports of IT probe against Diljit were out.
The certificate shared read, "We appreciate the taxpayer, in the Platinum category, in recognition of the contribution towards building this great Nation."
Posting the image, Diljit wrote, "Ah Lao Fadh Lao Mera PLATINUM CERTIFICATE ‘In Recognition of the Contribution Towards Building THIS GREAT NATION’ Twitter Te Beh Ke Apne Aap Nu Desh Bhakt Dasan NAAL Tusi Desh Bhakt Ni Ban Jande.."
He also mentioned, "Odey Lai Kam Karna Penda (One doesn’t need to sit on Twitter and prove they are a patriot, one needs to work towards it)."

"Ena Vechareya Da Kam Hee eh aa .. Eh V Ki Karn (The entire day they have nothing else to do but spread false news. A person is busy with thei work and they get an opportunity to spread canards. But God is seeing everything. But this is their work, what can they do)," he posted.
According to a Punjabi singer named Singga's claim, Diljit even donated Rs 1 crore so that the farmers who are protesting can buy warm clothes for themselves.
In a now-vanished Instagram story of Singga, the singer was heard saying, "Thank you brother, you gave Rs 1 crore for the farmers, for their warm clothes, and nobody knows. You didn’t post about it. Nowadays people can’t shut up after donating Rs 10."
Meanwhile, addressing farmers, Dosanjh said at the protest, "I have come here to listen not speak. Thank you to the farmers from Punjab and Haryana. You have created history once again. I want to say to the government - Do not divert from the issues. There is no other discussion going on here apart from that related to farmers. Whatever the farmers want, the government should accept. All are sitting peacefully. There is no talk of bloodshed. Everyone twists [facts] on Twitter."
