Deepika Padukone's 'Chhapaak' to clash with Ajay Devgn's 'Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior'!

Since the time Deepika Padukone announced that she is going to play an acid attack survivor in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak, fans were impatient to see her first look. Now, finally her look from the film is out and the stunning actor has blown away our minds. Like Meghna earlier said, Deepika definitely looks unrecognisable and it's commendable too. The movie also marks the actor's debut as a film producer and she definitely has backed a terrific subject to start with.

Along with the first look, the makers even announced the release date of Chhapaak. The much-anticipated film is slated to release on January 10, 2020, just five days after Deepika's birthday. The intense film will be clashing with Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior. Yesterday, producer Bhushan Kumar unveiled the new release date by tweeting, "We are starting next year with @ajaydevgn starrer Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior, produced by @TSeries and @ADFFilms ,directed by @omraut.  This film will now release on 10th Jan 2020."

The subjects of both Chhapaak and Tanhaji are poles apart and they have their own fan base. The sad part is, there's no show by Deepika in 2019, but definitely, the actor is coming in 2020 with a bang!

In Chhapaak, Deepika's character is named as Malti and her role is based on the life of acid attack survivor named Laxmi Agarwal. The movie also stars Vikrant Massey as the male lead. While Ajay's Tanhaji also stars Kajol as his onscreen wife and Saif Ali Khan as the main antagonist.
