Choreographer-turned-director Ahmed, who recently visited the sets of Dance India Dance 6, tested the contestants on three parameters — technique, tashan, and tarkeeb.
While the contestants put their best foot forward to impress Ahmed, their performances took him down memory lane where he reminisced about his past experiences.
He told the contestants how he had a great time choreographing the dance sequence for Urmila Matondkar’s popular song Rangeela Re. When host Amruta Khanvilkar asked him about his experience working with Urmila, Ahmed said, “Firstly, I have to say that you remind me of Urmila. She was one actor who could perform any step with grace and making it look unique.” Flattering, no?
