CLASH AVERTED! Sidharth Malhotra's 'Aiyaary' postponed, Akshay Kumar's 'Pad Man' to be the solo release on February 9

It's confirmed now. Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Aiyaary has been pushed from February 9. The film will now hit the theatres on February 16. The twisted tale of the release of the Neeraj Pandey directorial has continued, making a furhter delay in the release of Aiyaary. 

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the news.

Earlier, Aiyaary was to hit the theatres on January 26. Back then, Akshay Kumar's Pad Man was o release on January 25. But when Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat too marked January 25 as it's release date, the makers of Aiyaary shifted its release to February 9. 

Later on, Akshay too postponed the release of his film Pad Man to Fbruary 9, giving a solo release date to SLB's Padmaavat. Now Aiyaary and Pad Man were to clash at the box office on February 9. 

A report on MidDay suggested that the release date of Aiyaary is likely to be pushed ahead owing to the modifications suggested by the Defense Ministry. Jayantilal Gada of PEN India was quoted by the tabloid as saying, "here’s a strong chance that Aiyaary will be postponed to February 16. The team will submit the film to the CBFC only after making the recommended changes. The overseas delivery of the film looks difficult, considering we won’t have the censor certificate in time. That will, in turn, affect the India release."

Now, it's confirmed that Aiyaary has been pushed to February 16, giving a solo release to Pad Man and securing a solo release for itself as well.
